Four key Bath senior players, Charlie Ewels, Elliot Stook, Nathan Catt and Anthony Watson, have signed a long-term contract with the rugby giant.
Prop Catt, 30, Stooke, 25, lock Ewels, 23, Back Watson, 24, have featured in England squads and now have fundamental roles to play for Bath.
“All have fundamental roles to play in our future and we’re delighted to have ensured they’re a part of it.
“We have not shied away from the fact that we want to play smart attacking rugby, whilst also developing our own unique style of play. We know we are not there yet.
“To re-sign such an exciting group of players is testament to their belief in our direction of travel and the environment we have created here at Bath. Anthony Watson, Charlie Ewels, Nathan Catt and Elliott Stooke all have fundamental roles to play in our future and we are delighted to have ensured they are a part of it”, rugby director Todd Blackadder said in a statement.
Watson is presently undergoing a recovery process from a long-term Achilles tendon injury. He has capped 33 times for the club and thrice for the British and Irish Lions. Ewele has 8 caps for the national team.
Catt and Stooke have all trained with the national team but are yet to feature in any senior international rugby.
The four stars have followed Zach Mercer, Semesa Rokoduguni, Taulupe Felatau and Beno Obano, who have all renewed their contracts with Bath.
