Bath Rugby Set to Install Specialized Hay Bale Seating and Tractor Parking Ahead of Upcoming Match at Twickenham

Bath Rugby recently announced its intentions to apply to the RFU (Rugby Football Union), to install hay bale seating and tractor parking at its Twickenham stadium in preparation for their match against the Bristol Bears next year.

The two South West teams will battle for the West Country on Saturday, April 6, 2019, next year.

A sketch imagery of the proposed plans displays a section with hay bale rows instead of chairs inside the stadium and tractor spaces for the car park.

Tickets for the event are currently already on sale, but the hay bale seating is not presently available to book for visitors. It will be by luck to determine if a guest will be assigned to one of the 200 hay bales to sit and watch the match. Regarding tractor parking availability, it will be requested subject to demand

Bath Rugby’s Marketing Director, Vicki Smith, comments, “Two of the West Country’s biggest teams are set to play at Twickenham next April, To highlight this historic rivalry, which turns 130 years old this week, we’re bringing the best of the West Country to the home of England rugby. Installing hay bale seating and larger parking spaces for tractors is a perfectly light-hearted way of bringing the spirit of the South West to life.”

The match promises to be an interesting event, with tickets starting from £15 for adults and £5 for children.
