For the second year in a row, ScaleUp institute has chosen Inspire – A Wiltshire-based entity which works with Local Enterprises to provide intensive support for start-ups. Last year, almost 150 businesses were reported to have benefitted from the organisation’s Inspire Elite programme.
The non-profit organisation offers a well-supported ecosystem for small enterprises to train and network with almost 60 other partner organisations. CEO of Inspire, Rob Perks was elated to be a ScaleUp ambassador for both Swindon and Wiltshire.
Perks said, “It shows that the programme we have in place provides the right support and solutions to help start-ups in the area overcome the key challenges.”
Recently, Inspire collaborated with Goldman Sachs so as to introduce the city’s start-ups to an elite 10,000 Small Businesses UK Programme, a clear opportunity for them to learn how to scale up their businesses rapidly.
Inspire has spent years of research in finding the skills gaps in key sectors of the economy and has worked closely with the city council to fill the voids. The COO of Inspire, Mandy Paterson is also the chairperson of Wiltshire Council’s Education, employment and skills board.
With continued efforts and support from the Wiltshire council, the company is aiming for the ScaleUp Institute Gold Standard this year.
