183,000 sq. ft. of pre-let has been agreed for an aircraft propeller systems maker to establish their new headquarters at Gloucester Business Park. Arlington, Business Park, and Logistics investor and developer agreed to the deal with Dowty Propellers.
The managing director of Arlington, James Raven, adds, “It is great news that Dowty has decided to commit to this major investment at Gloucester Business Park. As a business, we are determined to maintain Arlington’s 100 percent track record of delivery for our customers on time and on budget, and to continue to build on the positive momentum both at Gloucester and across the wider portfolio.”
The facility includes manufacturing space and office accommodation, becoming their new headquarters in addition to being a production and repair facility for Dowty staff in the UK, who currently work out of interim facilities in Gloucestershire.
Oliver Towers, Dowty President, commented, “We’ve built a strong heritage in the area and are proud that we are continuing our history of working in Gloucester,” said Dowty president Oliver Towers. This new facility will allow us to operate in a bespoke environment that ensures we continue our position as a world leader in the design, development, manufacture, and support of electronically controlled, all-composite propeller systems.”
Back in 2017, Dowty Propellers announced its commitment to carry on operations in the Gloucester area after a big fire destroyed its operating headquarters and blade manufacturing facility in February 2015.
