With less than two months to go before Christmas, there is an abundance of seasonal trips to entertain the children. Here’s a list of fun things and places to visit so you do not miss out on the holiday fun:
The German Market, Broadmead: There is something for every member of the family at this outdoor market with a new Christmas grotto in Quaker Friars. There is a new ice sheet put up for a family game of curling.
Autumn Fayre at St Werburgh’s Farm: Hosted by Willow Tree Preschool for families; events include face painting and puppet shows and many more on November 10.
Stokes Croft Christmas Market: A mixture of food stalls and crafts from locals taking place in the Stokes Croft beer garden opened from November 16 to 30.
Winter Wonderland, the Mall: Opened from November 16, there’s an outdoor ice rink, the largest in the Southwest, an enchanted Santa’s castle, food tents and lot of Christmas treats.
Bitton–Avon Valley Railway: An hour-long steam train ride from Bitton Station through the Avon Valley with Father Christmas and his helpers from November 24 to December 24.
Go wild: Fair Saturday: Opens the day after Black Friday as part of a global initiative to boost culture, arts and social issues on November 24.
Cinderella, Bristol Hippodrome: Led by sensational Brian Conley, it promises to be a family-friendly show packed with spectacular special effects and laugh-out-loud comedy.
