Here’s a Look at Bristol’s 10 Most Sought-after Primary Schools for Admissions

This year, more than 5000 parents will be sending in applications for a Reception school placement for their little ones against the September 2019 school session. Population for these placements is however heating up as a result of Bristol’s growing population.

With Bristol being one of the most competitive primary school areas in South West England, parents are advised to begin their processing early and use all three of their school application options. The deadline for application has been set for January 15 2019, and schools are now in the process of inviting parents to come in for interviews and open days in time to meet the time limit.

With schools very easily filling their first choice slots, we take a look at some of the data provided by the Department for Education to help determine Bristol’s most popular primary schools.

  1. Brentry Primary School

60 parents selected as first choice, 30 got in.

  1. Victoria Park Primary School

117 parents selected as first choice, 59 got in.

  1. Cathedral Primary School

109 parents selected as first choice, 59 got in.

  1. St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School

parents selected as first choice, 28 got in.

  1. Whitehall Primary School

142 parents selected as first choice, 88 got in.

  1. Horfield CofE Primary School

86 parents selected as first choice, 55 got in.

125 parents selected as first choice, 88 got in.

38 parents selected as first choice 28 got in
