The L & R Group have submitted a planning application for a brand new waterfront food destination.
Currently termed the ‘Gloucester Food Dock,’ it will provide up to 15 new units for dining in an extension of an existing Grade II listed building on the north of Gloucester Docks.
Planned and designed specifically for independent and regional food operators, the project offers a wide variety of sizes and styles for businesses. The new design replaces an earlier version, which had planning permission granted for five full-scale restaurants.
Ken Elliott, the development director of L&R Group, comments, “The food and beverage market has moved on from the large brands that have dominated many town centres and this provides an opportunity for Gloucester and the region to do something new and to celebrate the best of its brilliant range of quality, independent food businesses.”
The current lease agent is JLL.
