BBC One films the Profumo Affair documentary at Bristol’s Wills Memorial Building

The filming crew and cast extras are seen walking in and out of the building for the shoot on Profumo Affair documentary produced by BBC One. The building’s architectural interior design, according to Epigram, a student newspaper, is said to resemble the House of Commons.

The six-part documentary drama is being shot at Hangrove’s Battle Yard studios. This is currently based on the highly infamous political scandal, where Christine Keeler, a young 60’s model is said to have an affair with John Profumo, a famous politician. The affair is notwithstanding the scandal, though, as Keeler is not just simply having an affair. She was also suspected to have espionage duties and has collected valuable information on her involvement with a Soviet naval officer.

The roles of Christine Keeler and John Profumo will be portrayed by Sophie Cookson and Ben Miles. Also casting this documentary series are Ellie Bamber, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, and Anthony Welsh.  Award-winning novelist and screenwriter, Amanda Coe, is also the writer of this much-awaited documentary drama. Cookson also commented on the role and how Amanda Coe brings in a good story to this drama and how her role as Miss Keller will make an impression to the viewing mass.

The documentary drama is set to air this year.
