The following people appeared before the court recently in West Dorset:
VALERIE ANN COX, of Fulbrooks Lane, Bridport, aged 47. She was discharged conditionally for 1 year, and charged a cost of £300, for being found guilty of obstruction of duty against a constable.
PHILLIPA FRANCES KANE, of Orchard Crescent, Bridport, aged 50. Had her driving record endorsed with 3 penalty points, and got a fine of £70, after admitting to driving a vehicle at a speed exceeding 30mph, on the A3066 Mosterton.
MARK WAY, of Hogshill Street, Beaminster, aged 43. Had his driving record endorsed with 6 penalty points, got a fine of £300, and charged a cost of £85, after admitting to driving a vehicle at a speed exceeding 50mph, on the A35 Charmouth Bypass.
TIMOTHY ROY PHILIP KEARLEY, aged 70 of Higher Waterson. He admitted using on a road a vehicle to which Section 47 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 applied as respects which no test certificate had been issued within the appropriate period. Fined £40 and to pay costs of £85.
CHRISTINE JOY MEHARG, aged 64, of Fleet Street, Beaminster. She was disqualified from obtaining or holding a driving licence for 6months, charged costs of £85 and a fine of £75, after admitting to driving a vehicle at a speed exceeding 30mph, on the A3066 Beaminster Road, Bridport.
ARTHUR SPIERS, aged 52, c/o Flaxhayes Court, Bridport. Committed to prison for 7 days concurrent to existing sentence, after admitting to failure, without justifiable excuse, to heed community order requirements. The order was revoked and he was dealt with for original offence of intent to avoid the payment of £56.70, being payment required or expected for a taxi journey.
