Earlier this month, Yeovil, Taunton, and Bridgwater bakeries surprisingly closed, reportedly due to changes in management.
A Warrens Bakery spokeswoman clarified the recent adjustments in a statement, confirming the closures to only be temporary. It was also announced that two new units would be opened at Bristol Airport and Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton. She says, “They are part of our strategic local growth initiative, rolled together with our current Wellington store and the new Musgrove Hospital sites. We, therefore, came to an arrangement with the local partners.”
She mentioned that the three closed stores were in the process of being bought back from the franchisee, and would reopen their doors as Warrens Bakery-owned stores. Though unable to provide a precise re-opening date, she commented that updated information would be available in a matter of weeks.
Warrens Bakeries has been busy expanding and working on bigger plans to promote growth. The spokeswoman says, “As well as this development in the Somerset and Avon County, Warrens Bakery is continuing with strong franchise growth across the UK with 20 stores currently open and another 10 new franchise stores set to open by early 2019 through new and existing partners.”
As they rapidly develop and spread to other locations, Warrens Bakery is presently hiring for different positions around Somerset. The job positions available range from full-time store managers, a part-time catering assistant, to part-time sales assistants.
Residents may not need to wait too long before the temporary closures are lifted.
