Callum Wilson, 26, has had two serious knee-ligament injuries in the past three years, which he has now recovered from. Callum scored two goals against Fulham, giving his team the lead and scoring again in the 85th minute. Howe believes that Wilson is definitely going to be on Gareth Southgate’s mind and eventually be rewarded by him. Howe states that as long as Callum continues to play well and keeps scoring, it will only be a matter of time for him to get an England call-up. He believes that Callum is very efficient and he makes the right moves.
Central defender, Nathan Ake, 23, has been influential in helping Bournemouth have a good start the season. The defender insists that he is happy on the south coast, in an attempt to dismiss reports that he is a transfer target for Tottenham and Manchester United.
Fulham’s Tim Ream, 31, maintains that manager Slavisa Jokanovic is not responsible for the team’s falling behind. He says they are not together as a squad, there is no togetherness and they are not a team at the moment. There is no fight amongst the group, they are just individuals who don’t seem like they want to stay in the league. Ream states that until there is unity in the team and everyone steps up, himself included, nothing is going to change. He suggests that the problem isn’t with one individual but with the group as a whole.
