The Bristol City Fan Set for a Shock £5m payout from Manchester United, Liverpool and the Rest of the Premier League

FourFourTwo magazine’s ‘most influential’ person in the football world and a Bristol City fan, Richard Scudamore, has been replaced as the head of the premiership league. The premiership league boss had last summer revealed he would leave his position before the end of 2018.

“Whilst I have no plans to retire, whatever I do next, I will carve out more time to support (my family) in pursuit of their own passions… and to see more of Bristol City,” he said back in June.

Undoubtedly one of the most powerful people in world football since taking the reins of the English top division of football in 1999, Scudamore has had his successor named and confirmed by the Premier League. Susanna Dinnage, from the Company Discovery Inc., will replace Mr Scudamore in the coming months.

Back in 2006, Scudamore told the Guardian about his love of the Robins:

“It’s been a long haul [supporting Bristol City]. My first game there was in 1966 and I went home and away all through my boyhood. I was back again, of course, on the first Saturday this season. We beat Scunthorpe 1-0, thank you very much. We should have scored two or three but we did very well.

“Steve Lansdown is doing a good job and we like [City’s then manager] Gary Johnson very much. Like all football fans at this stage of the season I’m very optimistic. But speak to me again in November . . . Maybe you’ll be happier than me then.”
