Wylde IA has named three Bristol companies–Icon films, Home and Noisy Little Monkey among the happiest places to work in the UK. The companies emerged victorious at the end of this year’s Happiest Workplace competition, which recognizes organisations that prioritise wellness and mental health in the workplace.
This year’s competition was run by design company Wylde AI and was backed by Mind, a mental health charity organisation in the UK.
Icon Films, an independent film production company, scooped the honour for the happiest large business.
The company was recognised for its “creative and nurturing” space.
According to Tracy Patfield of Icon Films, “We are delighted to have won this award.
“With this latest accolade, and being named as one of the top 20 places to work in TV, we are very proud to play a part in attracting people to work in this fantastic city.”
Home, an internal communications company, won the prize for the medium-sized category. In his reaction to the award, Martin Knight of Home said, “We’re thrilled to win Bristol’s Happiest Workplace. What an honour!
“Employees new and old are looking for careers that allow them to be unique individuals, with autonomy to shape their working day, and businesses need to create joyful environments which enable the people within it to flourish.
“This award is a lovely recognition to all this hardwork we’ve invested into our environment and employees.”
Marketing agency Noisy Little Monkey scooped the small business prize. Judges were impressed by the company’s holistic management style and culture.
In her response, the company’s managing director Nicola Payne said, “Happiness, resilience and good mental health are critical to any creative agency, so it’s fabulous to be recognised for the balance we are trying to achieve. Go Monkeys!”
