Earlier this year in July, the Met announced that Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey was accused of sexually assaulting a man in 2013.
The Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command officers are still investigating the claim which is said to have occurred in Gloucester.
A force spokesman said today the investigation continues and is expected to be “long and protracted.”
The London police is also investigating five other claims which have been made against the American Beauty star; four of which are also sexual assault claims and one being assault.
The 58 year old Usual Suspects star has faced sexual assault accusations from more than 30 men.
The first of which was from fellow Hollywood actor Anthony Rapp in 2017, when he publicly accused Stacey of making sexual advances at him in 1986 when he was only 14 and Stacey was 26.
Stacey claimed to have no recollection of the event but gave a public apology nonetheless.
He also issued an “absolute” denial of the other allegations that later emerged.
One of which was according to the Met, between February and April when he targeted two men in London – one in Westminster in 1996, and another in Lambeth in 2008.
Another was an allegation of assault received by the police last year, said to have taken place in Lambeth in 2008 and two sexual assault claims – one in Lambeth and the other in Westminster, both in 2005.
