St Clement’s Lane, one of Exeter’s most used footpaths, is to finally be refurbished. The path links Bonhay Road to St David’s Hill and is alongside a Premier Inn.
The walkway is extremely familiar to the many people in thousands, who have ever walked from Exeter St David’s Station to the city centre via Queen Street. The path also leads to the university and Exeter College.
Over half of the funds needed for the planned improvements and renovations come from the Great Western Railway’s Customer and Communities Improvement Fund, as accounted by the Devon County Council’s Exeter Highways Committee.
The pathway will be refurbished to provide better grip for travellers as they walk through to their destination.
